Confessions of a Left-Handed Mouse, FPS/MMO player

I don't know why, but everyone seems to be so damn surprised and cocky when they hear that someone is left-handed for the mouse, they even exclaim that playing MMOs, FPS games would be near impossible and would make them basically 'handicapped.'

Well, all I can say is fuck you. There's no difference whether you're left or right-handed, just like in writing. So here's my usual FPS set-up and which buttons I use for what:

Up Arrow-Key = Move Forward
Down Arrow-Key = Move Backward
Left Arrow-Key = Strafe Left
Right Arrow-Key = Strafe Right
Insert = Reload
Delete = Use
CTRL = Jump
Shift = Crouch

Third Mouse (Click mouse wheel) = Melee

Currently Borderlands - End Key = Use Skill
Currently Borderlands - Num Pad 1 = Use Grenade
Currently Borderlands - Num Pad 0 = Sprint

Use mouse to look about/turn around, etc.

(I don't for the life of me remember how I played RF though. I think I used the keyboard keys again to move. As for the F-keys to use skills, I had to let go of my mouse and tap the f-keys. Or I just clicked on shortcuts/hotbars in the game.

FPS, my love.

It's alright for me to make several blogs a day I'm sure. Nobody really follows me but Cy and he's lurking.
(Btw.. I'm really tired atm... excuse any Grammatical errors)

I can't for the life of me remember when I started playing Call of Duty. I just remember one day my brother had CoD and CoD: United Offence expansion pack, and the latter was out in 2004, so I would say 2005 when I was 14 - pretty sure he bought them together..

Well, anyway...  I got a wee bit too into Call of Duty while I was playing it. Suffice to say, I got a little crazy.
I don't know if you do this, or if you know anyone who does this, but I had a habit of talking to myself while playing these type of games.

It first started.. many, many years ago.. quite possibly around the Golden year a game called 'Goldeneye 007' came out.

I won't brag - I was awesome at that game. But I was also batpoo crayzee. I'd scream and shout and cry out 'OMG' and while running into a room firing mai gunz at the enemy I would go 'AAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!'
Seriously, I wish I were young again, those were damn fun times! (Also, Perfect Dark)

Anyway, I continued talking to myself while playing these games and moved it onto Alien Vs Predator 1 & 2 (big note to share, I could never play as the Marines.. they were the scariest class to play. I loved playing Aliens though) and just basically every game...

I suppose I've not really grown out of it though, because usually when I'm playing FPS games I'm actually talking to people instead of screaming by myself.

For example, Left4Dead(2)!

!......:D

Gotta agree that's an awesome game - even if itakes you 4 hours to complete the last scenario - but playing it with friends/Guildies was awesome.. and excrutiatingly hilarious. I would be in stitches from laughter due to most of the stuff that happened while I was playing with my Guildies. I miss them. :(

... And while playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, I had my brother to talk to whilst whilst gunning down mai enemyz.

But yeah, the only thing I wanted to mention was that I only played Call of Duty and its expansion pack, and jumped straight to Modern Warfare 2, so as you can imagine I was pretty damn shocked at the graphical changes and everything about MW2. Yes.. I know.. a few good years had passed, but it's like.. since Call of Duty was the 'last/previous' game I had played, I remembered most things about it like the graphics, so when I started MW2 I was overwhelmed - just WOW... technology has gone so far it's amazing.

I love it.
